Nicole is an associate with AlerStallings. She grew up in Boise, Idaho and journeyed to Ohio after completing high school. Ohio has now become home to Nicole as she has started a family of her own here. She and her husband welcomed their first child, Rose, in September of 2015. Nicole is passionate about using her legal knowledge to help others. She has performed countless pro bono hours helping abused and neglected children as well as senior citizens and veterans. Nicole believes that the hard-working middle class are always overburdened. As such, it is important to have a solid plan in place that allows for asset protection as well as obtaining much needed and much deserved benefits. When out of the office, Nicole loves baking, cooking, and spending time with her family.

A few weeks ago, my colleague wrote about whether you need to include your personal belongs in your estate plan. When administering an estate, we often get the practical question, “how can we fairly distribute the personal items among the beneficiaries?”
